Courtney leads OPS’ strategic campaigns, aligning key issues with action. She is a policy professional who has worked within the conservation and animal welfare field for over 30 years. With a background in biology and environmental policy, she provides leadership for diverse domestic and international policy initiatives related to the protection of biodiversity and the marine environment. Courtney has served as an advisor and campaign strategist for non-governmental organizations and has led strategic planning and business development initiatives in the private sector. A proponent of ‘environmental diplomacy,’ Courtney works to connect diverse stakeholders to forge progressive solutions. Her mantra is ‘The Power of One,’ where every individual has the power and obligation to make a difference. She holds a B.S. in Wildlife Biology and a M.S. in Psychology.
